Staples Launches Thrive Online Backup®; Provides Businesses with Automatic Data Protection

September 24, 2008 – In conjunction with the launch of Staples Network Services by Thrive, Staples today announced the availability of Thrive Online Backup, a new service that offers organizations complete and automatic backup of all their data to a secure, remote facility.
Thrive Online Backup makes it easy and economical for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to adopt the same kind of business continuity and disaster recovery plans previously available only to corporate enterprises. In doing so, Thrive Online Backup ensures that organizations data is protected from all forms of data loss, including hard drive crashes, accidental deletion, natural disaster, theft and vandalism.
Thrive Online Backup works by automatically copying data from PCs and servers, over a secure and encrypted Internet connection, to a remote storage facility where the data is available for immediate recovery seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Only new and changed data is copied, so the process is quick and consumes relatively little bandwidth.
