Systems Engineer II
Position Summary:
The Hosted and Internal Systems Engineer (HISE) tier 2 is primarily responsible for the development, maintenance, support and performance of the hosted services platform, as well as the Thrive Networks corporate network. The hosted and internal systems engineer is also responsible for researching, testing, deploying and documenting internal system updates as they occur.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ongoing maintenance & provisioning
- Perform routine checks of client server infrastructure using vCenter monitoring tools and reports
- Identify and report on trends in client server infrastructure including but not limited to storage, CPU, memory, and bandwidth utilization
- Providing support and updates to Thrive Networks corporate data systems and users
- Make recommendations for adjustments to client server infrastructure
- Make adjustments to client server infrastructure as required/assigned
- Participate in the weekly on call pager rotation - Planning and implementation
- Participate in the assigned implementation of new systems or software
Basic Qualifications:
- VMware Virtualization - implementation, maintenance and monitoring Microsoft Server, Workstation, and Back Office Applications (Exchange, SQL, IIS)
- Wide Area Networking – routing, firewalls, IDS / IPS
- Network engineering – layer 3 switching, VoIP, storage networking
- Customer service/ end user support experience
