Thrive Hosted Services Systems Engineer - Tier III
Position Summary:
The Hosted Services Systems Engineer (HSSE) tier 3 is primarily responsible for the development, maintenance, support and performance of the hosted services platform. The hosted services engineer is also responsible for researching, testing, deploying and documenting internal system updates as they occur.
The Hosted Services Engineer responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Monitoring and Response
- Monitor and respond to automatically generated alerts from vCenter or monitoring system Tier 3 response to tickets escalated from the remote service center
Ongoing Maintenance & Provisioning
- Perform routine checks of client server infrastructure using vCenter monitoring tools and reports
- Identify and report on trends in client server infrastructure including but not limited to storage, CPU, memory, and bandwidth utilization.
- Make recommendations for adjustments to client server infrastructure
- Make adjustments to client server infrastructure as required/assigned
- Complex client configuration and problem solving
- Participate in the weekly on call pager rotation
Planning and Implementation
- R&D for new products and solutions
- Participate in the planning and design of improvements and additions to the hosted services infrastructure
- Participate in the assigned implementation of new systems or software
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates or Technical Degree
- 4 – 6 years related work experience
- VMware Virtualization - VCP or equivalent
- Microsoft, Wokstation, and Back Office Applications (Exchange, SQL, IIS)
- Linux experience
- Network engineering
- Customer service/ end user support experience
