Rob Stephenson

CEO & Board Member

Mr. Stephenson brings more than 20 years of executive level technology business experience to Thrive Networks. Rob was previously a principal at 19 Technologies, an executive consulting firm whose clients included Faction Cloud, Oxford Networks, Expedient, Sweetwater Capital, Bay Capital, Spring Capital and others. Prior to that, he was the Chief Marketing Officer and managing partner at Xand where he oversaw a sale to Tierpoint in 2014, after merging his firm, Access Northeast, with Xand in 2012. Rob was the CEO at Access Northeast from 2007-2012, building the company into a $20 million plus Data Center/Cloud/MSP regional powerhouse with 7+ consecutive years of record income, growth & profitability. He executed multiple term sheets with Private Equity Firms, Senior Banks and Mezzanine SBA Lenders generating working capital for the business and liquidity for shareholders in excess of $750 million.

Mr. Stephenson has undergraduate degrees in Economics & Political Science from the University of Vermont (1990) and a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Boston College Carroll School of Management (2002), with a concentration in Technology Marketing. He was enshrined into the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society in 2002 for his post-graduate work.

Jay Adams


Jay oversees all Financial Operations and Human Resources at Thrive.  Prior to joining Thrive, he spent the last 20 years as a CFO at technology and consulting companies backed by private individuals, venture capital firms, and private equity companies.  He spent 8 years at Kenan Systems, a $180 million provider of billing software, 5 years at Bowstreet, a pioneer in the web services space and later served as CFO at Atlantic Data Services, a consulting practice that serviced the banking industry. More recently, Jay was CFO at the Aberdeen Group, where he stood up multiple systems in merging three companies into one new platform with no previously established G&A function.  Jay is a CPA and started his career in public accounting at Ernst & Young.

Mr. Adams is a graduate of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and he currently resides in Walpole, MA with his wife and four kids.

Michael Cook

Managing Partner & Board Member

Mr. Cook was the Founder and CEO of Corporate IT Solutions, a leading regional Managed Service Provider based in Norwood, MA.  Michael started the company in 2001, driven by a vision to lead an organization to help solve IT challenges while focusing on his core values of quality service, integrity, honesty, direct communication and technical industry expertise.

Mike’s experience working for enterprise companies such as EMC and IBM provided the perfect opportunity to hone his technical skills, while learning how to deliver strategic value to clients. As a forward-thinking leader, Mike led Corporate IT Solutions to numerous industry accomplishments which include the Boston Business Journal’s Pace Setters Select70 Award in 2012, 2013, 2014, & 2015, along with MSPmentor’s Worldwide Managed Services rankings ranging up the list from #106 in 2011 to their best ranking of #85 in 2016.  Mike attributes Corporate IT Solutions’ success to the hiring of great people who thrive in a positive, team-based culture.

After 17 years of running Corporate IT Solutions, Mr. Cook agreed to merge with Thrive Networks in late 2016 under the direction of M/C Partners, creating one of the largest MSPs in the Northeast.  Mike currently serves as Thrive’s Managing Partner, heading up strategic channel initiatives, and he is also a member of the Board of Directors.

Bill Burke

Executive Vice President of Technical Operations

Mr. Burke is responsible for overseeing all of Technical Service Delivery and Account Management at Thrive. Bill’s primary focus is to ensure that engineering resources are properly aligned with customer expectations to provide the highest quality of service available. Bill previously served as Corporate IT Solutions CIO and played a critical role in growing the company into one of the top MSPs in the region. Before coming over to Corporate IT Solutions, Bill ran his own IT Consulting practice for 5+ years servicing customers in the New England SMB marketplace.

Mr. Burke has over 15 years’ experience in the IT Services industry and is a second generation technologist. Bill has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and holds several technical certifications, including Cisco, Microsoft and VMware.

Bob Levesque

Vice President of Technical Service Delivery

Mr. Levesque has more than 20 years of experience in Information Technology, over 13 of which have been with Thrive Networks, where he currently oversees their technical service delivery and systems teams.  Prior to his present role, Bob headed Thrive’s senior technology consulting practice, working with hundreds of businesses’ on IT road-mapping, strategy and financial budgeting.  Bob’s focus is on enhancing the experience of Thrive’s clients and leading a team of skilled technicians who balance that customer centric focus with expert technical insight and management.

Prior to joining Thrive, Bob was an internal IT staff member at a private organization gaining experience by managing IT infrastructure and end-user support.  Mr. Levesque has graduated from Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical High School (1993) and holds various technical certifications

Ed Veiga

Executive Vice President of Business Operations

Mr. Veiga has more than 15 years of experience in managing business and IT operations across multiple industries.  Ed has a strong track record of implementing process and solutions that drive efficiency and growth resulting in high customer and employee satisfaction.  Prior to joining Thrive, he was a Senior Network Engineer for CMI, a local technology service provider. Since joining Thrive in 2005, Ed has been promoted multiple times to positions of increasing responsibility including Director of Technical Services, Vice President of Client Services and EVP of Business Operations.  He applies this end-to-end understanding of business when integrating partners, vendors and customers onto the Thrive platform.  This approach helps to deliver maximum operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction levels.

Mr. Veiga received his bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts and he also holds numerous technical and IT operations’ certificates.

Kevin Randall

VP of Integration and Strategic Initiatives

Kevin excelled as a Project Manager at some of the industry’s leading technology solutions providers such as Presidio and Keane, before joining Corporate IT Solutions in 2011 to develop their Project Management Office. From that point forward Kevin played an integral role in developing the service delivery processes, teams, and policies across the organization as he took on roles of increasing responsibility. Kevin now focuses on M&A integration and strategic initiatives. He compliments the leadership team by developing, aligning, and executing initiatives focused on enabling corporate strategy and vision. Mr. Randall received his Bachelors’ degree in Marketing from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He currently resides in Rhode Island with his wife Heather and their dog.

Kevin J. Ellis

Vice President of Sales

Mr. Ellis serves as Vice President of Sales for Thrive Networks. In this role, Kevin guides all of Thrive’s new business acquisitions across the United States. He and his team have helped hundreds of growing companies solve some of the toughest business and technology challenges with innovative solutions. As a long-time member of Thrive’s senior management team, Kevin plays an integral role in the overall vision and mission of Thrive; continually championing for an unparalleled level of customer service. He constantly seeks ways to create value through the strategic integration of new products and services based on the constantly evolving technological landscape and client needs. Mr. Ellis earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, with a concentration in Marketing, from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. With 10 years’ experience in the IT consulting space, he also holds a number of Sales and Technical Certifications inclusive of VSP 4 and ITIL V.3. Kevin lives in Burlington, MA with his wife, three young sons and dog.

Michael Gray

Vice President of Technology & Security Officer

Mr. Gray has been a strong technology leader at Thrive over the past decade, contributing in the consulting, network engineering, managed services and product development groups while continually being promoted up the ladder. Michael’s technology career began at Dove Consulting and later Praetus, a biotechnology startup that was acquired by a top 5 pharmaceutical firm in 2007. Serving in his current role, Michael is now responsible for Thrive’s R&D, technology road-mapping vision, while also heading the security and application development practices. He is a member of several partner advisory councils and participates in many local and national technology events. Michael has a degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and he also maintains multiple technical certifications including Fortinet, Sonicwall, Microsoft, ITIL and Kaseya.

Jeff Boardman

Vice President of Cloud Services

Mr. Boardman currently oversees Thrive’s Cloud Group, with responsibly for maintaining all of their network and physical infrastructure in multiple data centers, third-party cloud, hybrid cloud and dedicated hosting services. Jeff also maintains Thrive’s disaster recovery practice, replicating and backing up the Thrive Cloud infrastructure, as well as overseeing those complementary client-facing services. Jeff was previously the CTO at Corporate IT Solutions for 15+ years, with previous stints at US Robotics and Motorola. He was the primary architect of Corporate IT Solutions’s Cloud platform, as well as their leading technologist for service delivery and IT product vision. Mr. Boardman graduated with honors in the electrical program from the Baron Institute of Technology in 1999 and he currently maintains multiple advanced certifications from VMware, Dell, Citrix, Microsoft and others.
